Kennington Capital, based in Dallas, Texas, is a closely held, privately owned real estate investment and development company. Through its affiliates and partners, the Kennington real estate family has maintained a presence in the regional real estate arena since the late 1960s, when the founding partner began developing an industrial warehouse along a stretch of a small country road that later became Midway Road in a small farming community called Addison, Texas that is now located at the center of development in the Dallas MSA.
Over the years, Kennington has acquired and/or developed over 20 developments in the greater Dallas, Texas area, and since Kennington maintains a long-term ownership position on the majority of its assets, it has not disposed of many of these assets. At present, the Kennington real estate family includes approximately one million square feet of office showroom, industrial warehouse and retail space. Kennington has also acquired land acreage in some key locales to help fuel its pipeline of future developments and/or build-to-suits opportunities.
In 2006, Kennington Capital was formed by Clayton Kennington as an affiliate of the Kennington real estate family. Kennington Capital and its affiliates traditionally invest in a variety of real estate assets, including office showroom, retail, industrial warehouse, historic redevelopment and land. At present, Kennington Capital is invested in over 300,000 square feet of leaseable space in the greater
Dallas, Texas area. Kennington Capital continues to form strategic alliances with established real estate investors to pursue the optimal capitalization structure for each of its investments and generate attractive risk-adjusted returns to its investors.
Kennington Capital also maintains an extensive 3rd party property management firm through its affiliate, Kennington Capital Management. The company’s real estate professionals have over 50 years of combined property management experience at Kennington Capital Management as well as at various national property management firms throughout the southwestern US region. Currently, Kennington Capital Management has approximately one million square feet of commercial real estate under management, including multi-tenant Class A, B & C office showroom, industrial warehouse and retail spaces. Tenants in these buildings typically range from locally-owned sole proprietorships to Fortune 100 multinational corporations.
